Two Parks And A Pub

 Last Sunday we drove to Nanaimo to visit Beban Park, a large urban park downtown, that has a pool, lawn bowling, and tennis courts but also a trail along the Millstone River that flows down to the harbour. 

We then drove to the colliery dam park on the outskirts of Nanaimo and walked about 6km of rugged trails around two lakes, ending up at the Crow and Gate Pub for a pleasant outdoor supper.  A favourite spot of ours, with really beautifully landscaped gardens
