Waiting for spring

 

After the weekend snows the sun came out and the weather warmed up a bit. By the end of this week, we're back to green   

We built a snow cat on the weekend  (called a bonchat in Quebec probably) but Monday morning,  the  sun sent out "death rays" to turn it into running water. 

You can see in the before and after pictures of the snow man/cat how quickly we went from white to green in a few hours. 

Took my walk past more new houses going up., where there once were trees.  Here are pictures for those interested in seeing how west coast houses are built. 

And to round out the week, here is a beautiful sunrise from this morning, Saturday Feb 20, and the same sunrise from Departure Bay in Nanaimo, taken by Martin.  A double sun, caused by the reflections on the stratus clouds.
