Juvenile Delinquent Terrorizing The Neighbourhood
Walked out the door for my afternoon walk and caught a young fellow casing the street. He looked me straight in the eye and carried on vandalizing the hedge. Fortunately these hedges have a habit of growing back.
My objective was to drop off books at a pop up library on the way, and I also changed my route a bit to include a very steep hill. Need to up my cardio game, or whatever. I must admit I paused halfway up.
Throughout my walk there were eagles in ones and twos circling above, and when I returned to our street, just above me there were no less than 9 in a circular flight pattern.
So, they're back. Haven't seen so many since last fall. My guess is that they're getting ready for some fishing, in about a month the herring arrive just off shore and there's lots of food around for them.
My walk included passing a large scraped section that was a dense forest last year, this year the diggers will move in. No wonder that baby deer has to look up and down our street for a meal.
